E-Liquid: VG, PG and What you Need to Know!

imagesElectronic cigarettes are different across the board. All brands do things a little differently from one another, putting their personal stamp on the products. One area of major discussion among users is e-liquid. Specifically what is in their e-liquid, regardless of nicotine strength.

The majority of brands use one of two substances as a base for their e-juice, and there is enormous debate from e-smokers as to which comes out on top.

Vegetable Glycerin, (VG) and Propylene Glycol, (VG) are the main bases, and people are quite vocal about what they prefer.

Vegetable Glycerin is an all-natural product derived from plant oils. It has been used as a sweetener, as well as in other foods as an additive. One aspect users enjoy about its use in e-cigarettes is the fantastically large quantities of vapor it produces.

There has been much controversy surrounding the use of Propylene Glycol. It has been used in trace amounts in certain foods and cosmetic products, however it is known to be an irritant, as it is a solvent. Many people have allergies and sensitivities to it, so even though it creates a great throat hit, it’s something that is better avoided.

EverSmoke exclusively uses Vegetable Glycerin as a base for our USA-made nicotine liquid.

Our cartridges are available in 10 flavors, and our customers have always raved about our flavors. We know a huge contributing factor is having great liquid, and vegetable glycerin is our signature.

Here is a list of the positive effects of VG in e-liquid, and why it’s the better choice for vaping.

-Creates thick, voluminous vapor.

-Has a very smooth hit.

-It is vegetable-based, making it nontoxic, not chemical-derived.

-Less likely to cause negative effects in users.

-Carries flavors excellently.

-Safe for consumption, as it is commonly found in cosmetics and is used as a sweetener.

While the choice remains yours – in regards to going with VG or PG –based nicotine juice, for our products we’re sticking with VG!
