The one thing every e-cig smoker needs is the e-cig battery; it basically is the e-cig. If you look into e-cigarette reviews, and listen to feedback from people who are e-smokers, you are going to hear a lot about batteries. What most people want is great performance, great life from each charging, and charging that does not take excessively long. E-smokers are also pretty picky about their batteries lasting a while too, and why shouldn’t they be? No one likes paying for products that do not last long. So how can you extend your e-cig batteries’ life? Here are a few tips!
-Regular use keeps them healthy. Electronic cigarette batteries work better when they are used; they’re made for performance and with regular usage they perform at optimal levels.
-Don’t wait till the battery has drained to 0% before you charge it. You can prolong it’s life by charging up once you’ve hit 50%. This is important when storing your battery as well; it’s much better to store them at 100% for the best performance and lasting power. They will drain out quicker if you store them at 50% power.
-Be mindful. Not trying to say you need to baby your batteries, but you should take into account how you treat them. Dropping them can be fatal, as can direct heat and sunlight. Also, being electric products, they do not need to be around water!
-If you aren’t using your e-cig for a while, disconnect the cartridge. Believe it or not, having the cartridge hooked up, even when not in use, it slowly drains the battery power because the battery senses it.
-As soon as possible after getting your battery charged to 100%, take it off the charger. This is so important! Overcharging the battery, with any electronic device is a surefire way to put a hit on battery life. The only time this rule does not apply is during your battery’s very first charging. In that case, it is recommended to charge it for an extra hour after it’s gotten to 100%.
-Cleanliness. This one goes for just about anything; keep it clean. Using the product with with your hands obviously gives way to dirt, so it’s really important for it to stay clean. In the space where your batteries and cartridges connect, buildup can get in and create issues; use a cotton swab to wipe it out as often as you can.
