How to Enhance Your E-Cig Performance

are-e-cigs-safeWhen vaping there is no right or wrong, however there is good and better. If you need some e-cigarette troubleshooting, or are having performance issues with your electronic cigarette or vaporizer, here are some tips to keep in mind. Hiccups in performance can often come down to minor little things, that can be resolved really quickly, so don’t stress it!

-Keep your e-cigarette device clean. Dirt, grime, liquid buildup and funk don’t do you any favors, so do your e-cig a favor and keep things clean. Wipe down the body, all connecting points, and the area surrounding the cartridge regularly with a soft cloth and/ or a q-tip.

-Don’t overcharge the battery, that will only cause it to wear out faster.

-Don’t drop your device. Yes, common sense will tell you this is necessary, but let’s reiterate to make it more apparent. Dropping an e-cig can be bad.

-If you’re using e-liquids do not overfill your tank. As tempting as it may be, if your tank is not producing adequate vapor or is leaking, it could be as a result of overfilling. Never more than 75%, ok?

-Don’t over tighten your cartridge onto your e-cig. It should be screwed on firmly, but not too tight. This will cause little to no vapor production.

-Don’t mix different products from different brands, they’re just not designed to go together. We can’t alert you of anything specific that may arise, but results could be dangerous.

-When using mods don’t use batteries and other components not specified for your particular device by the manufacturer.

-Is your cartridge giving off a burnt or foul taste? The problem could be that the cartridge needs replacing.

Is your e-cig giving you a sore throat? Try increasing your water intake, lowering the level of your nicotine, or trying a different flavor.

Battery not producing ample power? It might need to be charged! If it does have adequate power, it could be that your battery is just ending it’s life cycle. Or perhaps you’re vaping needs have increased and it’s ready to move onto an advanced product.

Whether you want to boost your e-cigs performance, or you’ve got an issue, there’s a solution! Whether it’s an easily fixable one that requires just a tweak or two, or you need to entirely replace your e-cigarette, troubleshooting can help get you the fix.

How E-Cigs Work: The Technology Inside

what-is-e-cigaretteE-cigs are simple in looks and design, however within that sleek cigarette-like body is a great deal of technology that comes together to recreate the smoking experience minus the smoke.

Understanding the technology is about understanding what each of the parts do, and how they work in unison to get the job done so fluently. Regardless of the style of electronic cigarette, the majority of these parts will be the same, with variances in power, performance, and capabilities. However, essentially it all comes down to liquid nicotine, a vaporizing mechanism, a battery or power source, and something to puff on.

Continue reading to learn more about the technology behind   electronic cigarette parts, what they are, what they do, and how they work.

Battery: The battery is the most important part of the vaping equation. It is the power source, and it is the main body of the e-cigarette. Inside of it are all the other parts, including the mouthpiece on which the user will inhale upon. E-Cigarette batteries come in a wide range of sizes, styles, and power levels, however they basically do the same job. It’s rather amazing that they can hold so much power, and contain so many other components while remaining so compact.

Atomizer: The atomizer is built into the e-cigarette cartridge the majority of the time, especially regarding two-piece e-cigs. This is the part of the unit that is responsible for vaporizing the nicotine e-liquid into the vapor. It receives a surge of power from the battery, kicking into gear when the user begins puffing.

Cartridge: The cartridge is the disposable part of the e-cigarette that comes pre-filled with flavored e-liquid, and is created with the atomizer inside. Atomizers tend to not have a long life, and replacing them with each new cartridge allows for better performance. The cartridge also contains the silicon mouthpiece.

E-Liquid: E-liquid is what the vapor hits are created from, and where the nicotine and flavor are held.

Crystal Tip: The end of the e-cigarette is fitted with a crystal tip, that glows when in use. It alerts the user when the battery is getting low, and allows others to know when you are puffing on it, in a very realistic manner.

Silicon Mouthpiece: The silicon mouthpiece is created for comfort, and resembles in look and feel a traditional cigarette filter. Created with a hole designed for smooth hitting and the right amount of resistance, a silicon mouthpiece is very comfortable for smokers.

The whole process of how these parts are used to simulate the experience of smoking, without the use of tobacco, or smoke is truly remarkable, and this modern usage of technology is allowing millions of people to enjoy the process in a much more enjoyable manner. Technology is amazing, isn’t it?
