We love celebs, and we love it even more when they smoke e-cigarettes instead of tobacco cigs for sure! It’s always fun when electronic cigarettes pop up in pop culture, and we get pretty giddy when they do! One of the latest sightings happened recently on an episode of Saturday Night Live featuring a skit with Fred Armisen and none other the modern-day James Bond, aka Daniel Craig! Fred’ character was the one handling the e-cig, as he and Craig canoodled on the couch!
Electronic smokes and celebs are nothing new, and a good deal of their popularity can definitely be attributed to celebrities who have really helped usher in the age of vapor. As more and more stars take to the movement, millions of ordinary folks are doing the same. E-cigs have been shown on Two Broke Girls, The Doctors, Alcatraz, Late Night With David Lettermen, the Today Show, among others. The SNL cameo could be looked at just a little scene, just a little reference, but to appear on a show is a really big deal. It shows that alternative cigarettes are not just a passing trend; they would have diminished from sight several years ago if that were the case. It really proves that this is a mass acceptance, and is proof that more people are embracing them in favor of traditional cigarettes. It shows they have solidified their place in American culture at this time.
Celebrities or not, electronic cigarettes are the smarter way to go. Cigarettes will cost you a whole lot more, both in terms of your health and money. They aren’t the “cooler” alternative just because trendy stars are using them; they are the better alternative because they offer you benefits where cigarettes offer only failure. So, hooray to the folks at SNL for recognizing the impact e-cigarettes are making, both in Hollywood and real life pop culture!
