What’s in Your E-Cig? Lets Discuss Liquid

EverSmoke-Pro-Kit1There has been a lot of discussion occurring as of late about e-liquids. Some reports claim it is dangerous, hazardous, and is not safe for exposure, however most e-smokers will disagree with that based on experience. Here is a look at e-liquid facts, and some info on safe use of it, just so you know truth from fiction.

PG or Vg e-liquid? The main ingredients in e-liquid are generally vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), water, flavoring and liquid nicotine. There can be additional ingredients, however the quantities are usually minute.

Our cartridges are available in varying amounts of e-liquid, ranging from 0mg to 24mg (Bold). Other amounts available include 18mg (Full Flavored), 12mg (Light) and 6mg (Ultra Light). The nicotine is diluted in the solution of water, PG, and/or VG, and in actuality, very little nicotine is contained within each cartridge; it takes so little to be adequate.

Our cartridges contain a combination of VG and PG, in a 30/70 mix, which we concluded was the ideal balance of these liquids to create a satisfying experience for the user, giving large, thick vapor hits. VG is a thick liquid derived from plant sources, and it has the ability to produce thick, heavy, smooth-hitting vapor with a sweet taste. PG is a rather thin liquid, and it contributes to a very powerful throat hit, which is why many people find it the right consistency for vaping.

While PG is considered a generally safe ingredient, it should be noted that some individuals have sensitivities to it, which can result in allergic reactions. It is an ingredient found quite commonly in skincare products and food products as a preservative. If you have an intolerance to propylene glycol, it is best to avoid e-liquids containing it.

Because our cartridges come pre-filled with e-liquid, you really have no way of physically coming into contact with the liquid, contrary to using actual e-liquids for filling your e-cigarettes yourself. However, if for some reason you do, it is best not to handle it with your bare hands or any exposed skin. It is meant only for inhalation, and not meant to touch skin.

Knowing the basics of e-liquids are one of the keys to understanding and feeling comfortable with electronic smoking, whether or not you are filling tanks or using pre-filled cartridges. Understanding what your liquid contains is essential, and can help you make the best decisions when choosing a brand. Hope this info shed some light on a much confused topic, and as always, if you want to know more about our particular e-liquids, fee free to contact us with any questions regarding them!
